Traxler Tees lands deal with Prince Peter Collection - Columbus Alive October 05, 2011

Prince Peter Collection's "What's New Pussy Cat" T-shirt design has been the cat's meow (get it!?) for celebrities recently. Maxwell, Katy Perry, Russel Brand, Kelly Osbourne and Susan Sarandon have all been spotted wearing the shirt with the photo of a blinged-up black cat.

What's this $65 tee got to do with Columbus? Traxler Tees is one of the few printers of the design company's T-shirts, including "What's New Pussy Cat." Traxler Tees' retail location, The Shop, and 83Gallery in the Short North will sell the designer shirts.

The connection to Prince Peter Collection and Columbus is Scott Yonker, a master silk screen printer and part owner of 83Gallery, said Traxler Tees' Zachary Traxler. Yonker put Traxler in touch with a contact he had there and they were soon hammering out details of a contract. It was finalized Sept. 30.

The Columbus stores won't have the full line of Prince Peter Collection tees, so styles available will vary. The exclusive line's shirts available in town will range in price from $40 to $65.

In other local T-shirt news, Traxler Tees and Make Believe Monsters' partnership has ended, Traxler said.

"We were spinning our wheels," he added.
